Teaching, Transforming, Thriving: Sarah McPartlin’s Passion for Aesthetics and Education

Sarah McPartlin is a board-certified Physician Associate and one of the leading providers at Beautiphi Aesthetic Boutique in Rochester Hills, Michigan. With over four years of aesthetic experience, Sarah is an expert at combining artistry and science to help her patients look and feel their best. She transforms lives with her expertise, from Botox and fillers to biostimulators, biofilters, and polydioxanone (PDO) threads. Beyond her work with patients, Sarah thrives as an educator at Beautiphi Academy, teaching providers how to deliver natural and transformative results.

“Teaching others is one of the most fulfilling parts of my career,” Sarah shares. “When I see a provider grow in confidence and skill, I know we’re helping even more patients achieve their aesthetic goals.”

Sarah’s passion for teaching matches her dedication to continuously honing her skills. She has trained with top injectors nationwide and attended advanced programs with industry leaders like PDO Max, Inc. By staying at the forefront of advancements in aesthetic medicine, Sarah ensures her patients receive the most innovative and effective treatments.

Her journey with threads began when she identified a gap in her patients’ outcomes. While Botox® was effective for treating crow’s feet, there were instances where it did not fully meet her or her patients’ expectations. Even after addressing volume loss and skin health, she felt something was missing. Then, she discovered PDO threads, a  treatment designed to strengthen the skin and stimulate collagen from within. “When I saw how threads could improve skin integrity and give my patients the results they were truly looking for, I knew I had to incorporate them into my practice,” Sarah explains. “Threads are one of my favorite aesthetic treatments for creating natural, beautiful results.”

In Sarah’s hands, threads have become essential for transforming her patients’ appearances. Smooth threads are her go-to for dermal support and strengthening, versatile enough to be used all over the face and body. She loves using Ciclones to enhance the vermillion border in lips, providing support and subtle volume for more mature or thinner lips. Multi-Threads, which she describes as her secret weapon, are perfect for subtle volume boosts in areas like the temples, offering quick results with minimal downtime.

One of Sarah’s most memorable transformations involved a patient seeking more lip filler. Her last treatment was two years prior, and her main concern was that her upper lip tucked inward when she smiled. Sarah opted for threads instead, recognizing that additional filler would not achieve a natural look. She used Ciclones along the upper vermillion border for definition and support and placed smooth threads above the lip to soften fine “smoker lines.” A small amount of filler added hydration to the bottom lip, completing the look. “What I love most is when patients leave feeling confident,” Sarah says. “It is not just about how they look—it is about how they feel. That is why I do what I do.”

Threads also play a significant role in Sarah’s ability to combine treatments for comprehensive results. She often pairs threads with Radiesse® neck wash and Botox for neck rejuvenation, biofilter for under-eye support, or a lip flip to enhance lip structure and shape. For full-face rejuvenation, Sarah uses filler to contour and threads to add dermal support, creating dramatic and natural results.

As much as Sarah thrives on transforming her patients’ appearances, she also emphasizes the importance of follow-up care. She recommends six-month follow-ups for thread treatments but sees many patients every three to four months for regular aesthetic maintenance. These check-ins allow Sarah to evaluate skin health, monitor progress, and refine treatments.

For those hesitant about trying threads, Sarah understands the concerns and encourages patients to start with smooth threads, which are beginner-friendly and highly effective. “A little fear is normal, but with the right technique and patient selection, threads can be life-changing,” she explains. “They allow us to achieve results that weren’t possible before in a way that feels natural and empowering for the patient.” For Sarah, her work is about more than aesthetics. It is about teaching, transforming, and thriving. Through her dedication to education, innovation, and personalized care, she is empowering providers and helping patients unlock confidence they never thought possible.
